So, blogging didnt become as regular as i'd hoped, which is either a sign that university has mentally destroyed me, or im simply enjoying it too much to find the time to post something. luckily its the latter. so here's a current update on whats happened and what plans are coming up.
1. about to start semester 2 in the hope i passed semester 1 (40%, surely)
2. been writing down anything that appears to have comedic value with the intentions of standing up at some point, heard a few things about chortle student comedy but we'l see how that one develops
3. after joininng kingston university drama and street theatre society, i have found myself being appointed director of the play "the other side" written by an irish chap named Mike Burns - so yes, having power over more experienced third year students may well turn me into a hate figure, i cant wait. on this topic, my desires are first and foremost to act and i had planned to audition for this play, but turning down a chance to work in another field would have been stupid. especially when asked to!
back on the comedy thing, im writing things with the image of saying them to an audience, its been 3 weeks since i wrote a jade goody joke and im still not sure if audience members would beat me up for it.
note: im not an arsehole, i just feel that dark humour is harmless and brilliant.
